I did a trade with a family in las vegas who told me this was in the family since new and then handed down from father to son then to nephew then to niece, I had my master tech on aircooled bugs do his thing, he did a complete tune up that included oil change, oil screen and gasket, oil filter the car has a ext oil filter good for freeway and summer driving, adjusted all values, the car has newer heads from JSC (johnny speed and chrome) the block is a newer type that has better airflow it is a AE block the motor rebuilt as I was told has approx 10k on her, changed spark plug wires, plugs, cap, rotor, points, new oil, rejetted carb, adjusted choke, brakes were good, we then started motor and took a drive could not get the car to go into first easy. Newer interior, door panels carpet kit GT steering wheel, 6x9 speakers and subwoofer og roof rackWe then took the whole shifting rod out thru the front cleaned her up and replaced shift rod tube bushing, we also noticed the tail lights did not work or the brakes light that problem was repaired, the stereo system was also in need of some help I installed a new pioneer head unit w/ 300 watt amp sounds good now, we also noticed that the driver door latch was not working the orig owner told me it was the arm in the door was bad, well after a latch change and a door outside handle it now works great, we installed brushes on the genarator and put new hing pins in for new round mirrors, I replaced the rear fender as the old one had a fight with the garage door and lost. This is a great little ride now after all the work and money that has been put into her, this would make a great gift for that teen or for the older folks that want to pull her behind the motor home. The car shows that the od just turned over and does not have any marks to tell me that it was replaced at any time, fuel gauge works but arm is missing. All pans have been replace by pro shop, needs fender small tear road blems other then that a sound orig 1967 BugOne photo below shows the driver rear fender that is blue it is now replaced and in primer and rear tail light are amber and red now. On Jan-07-12 at 07:37:49 PST, seller added the following information: We also just added brand new tires to the front 135, the rear have about 500 miles on them also, so I guess we can say new tires, pop out deck lid was installed for better air flow to motor, if you note one of the photos all orig glass still in tact, two new trim rings for tires will go with car, orig owners manual, spare tire, orig jack with lug wrench.
