It's pedigree makes this Z/28 deserving of the highest quality restoration required to return it to its former muscle-car glory! This IS the one you want! This is a very solid, 1970 1/2, Z/28, RS Rally Sport, "Split Bumper" LT-1, Four Speed! This Z/28 RS runs and drives good but with a non-original 350 motor! The original intake manifold and double humped heads are present. Originally born Cranberry Red with a Sandalwood Custom Vinyl interior--a rare and desirable combination. Our feature car is not only a 1970 Camaro Z28, it's a Z28 with the Rally Sport option. The RS option featured a special front urethane "nose" and smaller, twin bumperettes instead of a full-width bumper, as well as the round rally-style turn signal lamps. The featured Camaro is also equipped with front disc brakes, Original SS-style factory wheels, and a factory rear window defogger. ! Admittedly, our little '70.5 Z28-with-the-RS-option is a little rough around the edges now. It is missing a few interior pieces, ones which you would replace anyway on a full blown restoration. It has some typical, minor, but no major rust issues. SOLID floors, truck and original quarter panels. The V8 has power you feel through the seat of your pants. It is mated to the 4-speed manual shift transmission. There is no power steering, so you get the full-on manual "Muscle Car" experience here! The 1970 Camaro was arguably one of the best Camaros ever made. It was pretty much all new for 1970 (a February 1970 debut caused many to dub it 1970 1/2), having gained some in overall length, width, and bearing a sleek new shape over the '69 model.
