Up for auction is my 1961 Ford Thunderbird. I bought this car this past april from the second owner. I have to seel it because I am relocating and cannot take it with me. This car is in great shape with no rust or rot anywhere. This car had a complete restoration in 1987 and was driven and stored by the previous owner until I bought it from him. I have all the receipts and pictures from that restoration. Since I have owned the car I had the roof painted Monte Carlo red, (Actual option for the 61) installed a new Holley 4 barrel carb with electric choke, new radio and other misc items like new hubcaps and such to make her look pretty. The car has the standard 390 engine with 3 speed cruise o matic transmittion. The car also comes with another set of 390 heads and the original 300 gears. (previous owner put in 350's) The paint job is 25 years old and has hair line cracks and a few chips here and there but as you can see you have to be really close to see them. I really enjoyed driving this car to shows and she has never given me any trouble. This is my first antique car and the first time I have ever tried to sell a car on ebay so if I left anything out please dont hesitate to ask. Overall the condition I would say is driver quality. This is not a concourse winnning car. The chrome and bright work are original and not all shiny new. You can see from the pictures they arent horrible. The interior needs some work with seat covers, bright work and a new headliner. The odometer stopped at the 130000 (approx) mile mark. The front wheel bearings need to be replaced. I have the part brand new but I dont have time to install. I also have replacement taillight bezels and buckets because the ones on it are bad. Also the car does not have a title. I have a bill of sale and the current registration. the car is over 50 years old so please bid accordingly.
