Very nice rust free example of a 1988 BMW 325i convertible* reluctantly offered for sale due to lack of space. I have a new company car and am required to keep it garaged so my BMW needs to find a new home. I am selling her here on Ebay in hopes that she finds a new owner who likes her as much as I do. This car presents very well and drives even better. It starts right up with the turn of the key, does not smoke or rattle and has no unusual leaks. It shifts smoothly through all five gears and goes into reverse easily too. The clutch operates exactly as it should. The drive train is smooth and also makes no unusual noises. Going through the gears and at speed there are no vibrations. It drives very smoothly. Ebay would only allow 24 pictures so I posted quite a few more here: This car has been garaged most of it's life and is in great condition for an original twenty three year old convertible. This car does have a few flaws which, if dealt with (as was my plan before this company car thing), would really make her a standout. All the body panels are original and she is very pretty. The clearcoat is peeling some on the hood and a little on the trunk. If you were to have these two surfaces resprayed, the whole car would really look GREAT! The interior is in very good shape. The dash has NO cracks and the center console is very nice. The seats have no tears (though the stitching has come loose at the top of the rear seatback, see pictures). The door panels have no tears and look good. All the glass is in great shape including the convertible top's rear window, very clear. There are no chips in the windshield. The convertible top is very good but does have a couple very small worn areas (see pictures). I have had some recent work performed and here is a list: New steering rack (had started to leak), New struts on the front and shocks on the rear, new distributor cap, spark plugs, drive belts and I had the oil changed less than 1000 miles ago. When I had the steering rack done I had the rest of the front end and steering checked and aligned. All the other parts were in very good condition. I also had all O-rings and seals replaced in the A/C system along with a new expansion valve and receiver dryer. At that time I had the system upgraded to the current R134A type of refrigerant. All the gauges and switches work properly and all the windows go up and down as they should. This is a very reliable and fun car and should deliver years of reliable service and smiles.
