You are bidding on a 1998 Mercedes Benz C230. This car has been in my family since it was bought brand new. We have maintenance records since it was bought new. Very low mileage and gently driven the whole time. I originally bought it as a quick fix and sell, I replaced Lower A arm, and removed surface rust. Then my perfectionist father got involved (he is an airplane mechanic with extensive knowledge in anything that flies, drives, or floats) and we ended up tearing the entire car apart (see pictures) and fixing every minor flaw in the car. We have now (to my displeasure) put too much money into the car for me to keep it, so we are basically giving it away. New undercoat, and new paint job with original Mercedes color and clear coat (I have included a picture of the painting of the car). It has four brand new summer tires and it comes with a set of snow tires and extra rims. We have the maintenance manual and parts catalog on CD which we are currently trying to locate, it shouldn't be hard to find and will be included with the car. The only defects the car has is the cruise control is not working properly, but any Mercedes dealer can locate the failed component quickly, we just don't live near a dealer and haven't gotten around to bringing it to one. The check engine light has come on once with a Cam Sensor code, so we ordered new Cam Sensor and by the time it arrived the light had gone off (new Cam Sensor included with car) we believe the light came on because of the gas cap gasket. Also the electric radio and heat/AC display fades in and out but it is usable and if you fiddle with it it works fine. I wish I could keep this car for myself but unfortunately I cannot afford it. This would be a great car for anyone it is currently inspected and drives great. I encourage anyone to come look at the car and drive it, because once you drive it you will fall in love.
