1977 Datsun 280Z for sale by owner. 2 Door Coupe. Rear wheel drive, manual transmission, 4 gears, engine model L28 with solid valve lifters, fuel injected & 97,000 miles. Recently restored and painted black. Has all original emblems and factory parts & accessories. Minor dent in front left panel & some engine work needed. I have lowered the reserve to $4,000. I have had the vehicle for over 10 years and have recently restored it to near original condition, including new paint, leather seats, carpeting, tires and rims, as well as all emblems being replaced w/ originals (if there was any damage) and all accessories have remained in original condition, with the exception of adding a CD player. With all upgrades and work done I have paid over $9,200 for the vehicle, but with a spun rod (which I have been told is fixable... it does turn over and idle when started) and not having the financial means to fix the vehicle I am forced to sell it, unfortunately. Basically, I am taking a lose on the vehicle, esp. considering should the motor be completely replaced (which will cost approximately anywhere from $400 - $1,200) and the median price for a running vehicle the same year, but without the restoration $ put into it, being $8,448.00 whomever chooses to purchase it will be getting several thousands of 'car' free. Unfortunately, I simply do not have the financial means or the ability to fix it myself.
