Vehicle Detail

This is a low mileage, hard to find, Subaru Forester XT. The car runs strong and drives very nicely. The interior is in excellent shape and has heated seats. It also has good tires and excellent wheels. The paintwork on the car is what I consider fair to poor. It looks great to excellent from 20 feet away, but as you get close to the vehicle, you can see several imperfections. If you are at all a perfectionist or car fanatic, you will not be happy with the paint work. I have also included a close up a nasty scratch on the rear bumper cover. This Forester has Rebuilt Salvage title from the state of Indiana. This means an insurance company declared it a total loss and sent it to an auction. I am a licensed Salvage Rebuilder in the state of Indiana. I have not set up an E-Bay store yet, because I wanted to try out selling one car on E-Bay before starting an E-Bay store. I sell all of my other cars from cars.com or by word of mouth. This particular car caught my attention on the internet bidding at one of the insurance auctions. It looked very nice in the pictures and I am a big fan of Subaru. I have owned two as personal drivers before buying this business. When we got this one back to the shop, we realized it was put back together by someone who was not very experienced. It also had not been painted by a seasoned pro. The engine also has a tick in it like a lifter or a valve type of tick, so I decided it would probably take more money for me to fix it than I should spend. We are a bodyshop and can do some mechanical work, but we don't tear into engines. It was then and there that I decided I would be selling it on E-Bay in hopes that a Subaru fan would find it and like it for what it is. An experienced Subaru person will probably consider this an easy fix. The work we did on it was to put a new bumper cover on it because the one on it was cracked badly. We straightened the radiator support and headlights, changed the brake pads, and cleaned it up. Since this work was done, I have driven it a few hundred miles. The only other mechanical issue I noticed is that the brake rotors need to be turned. Please let me know if you have any questions. I try very hard to always be honest, as you can see from my Feedback.
