Up for sale is my 1960 Lincoln 2 door. Really restorable car with minimal rust and running 430 v8. Unfortunately today while adjusting the choke on the carb the front seal on the transmission decided to let go and now the transmission leaks. I have not moved the car and immediately shut it off upon seeing the fuel but car will need trailered home until seal is replaced. I bought this car last week after it had sat for over 18 years in a collectors garage. He had owned it since 1985 and parked it in the 90's after the brake line broke. I see plenty of character and collectibility with this car but I do not have the time to repair this myself. I have other projects at my shop now and when I bought this I only planned on doing brake work. My loss is your gain here. This Lincoln will sell regardless of final price as a no reserve auction so bid to win. The car is for sale locally and I determine whether or not to sell it outside of ebay depending on the current bid so bid early and bid often. If needed due to the Holiday season the Lincoln can stay on my lot until the buyer has time to pick it up. I only ask that its paid for within the required timeframe. Exterior: The body on this classic is in original condition. The rockers on both sides are rusted but prior owner has provided new patch panels to repair this. Tires hold air but are over 20 years old so around town driving would be their limit of use. lights front and back work and stainless is in good condition. Glass is good condition except for drivers side rear side window which has been repaired but not cracked. Doors hang correctly without sag, dual exhaust sounds good and has no noise leaks. Interior: The inside of this car is huge. Front bench seat moves front to back by lever, Gauges appeared to all work except fuel gauge. I have not checked the HVAC system. Headliner looks new but front seat and carpet need attention. The photos and video will provide a much better understanding of the condition. Drivetrain: Motor runs strong and has no odd noises. It is running of 20 year old gas combined with 3 gallons of fresh gas. Does not overheat or appear to leak any coolant or motor oil. The transmission front seal is leaking badly and needs replaced. The brake line on the drivers side wheel well is rusted and needs replaced. I assume the brake master cylinder will need replaced as well and Napa does carry them. I can not speak for the drivability condition as I have not driven the car. Battery is weak and car will start off starting fluid but with the bad gas its hard to start cold. This old Lincoln does need work to make it a driver but has great potential and years of life left in it. Terms and Conditions – PLEASE READ!!! Collect from the customer the lesser of the two amounts.
