Vehicle Detail
Incredible barn find in excellent condition. Just completed restoration, original interior (curtains have been removed) runs like a sewing machine, purs like a kitten. From my research and according to title records, these must be original miles. All the numbers match except the engine. It was replaced by the previous owner with a 1979 version. While the 1979 version did have fuel injection, this one has a 2-B carb. The interior is in perfect condition, especially for a 1972. This weekender was built by Westfalia according to the plates (see photos). It is the rare Westfalia Campmobile 70. It features a full fold down bed in the rear, a sink, a refrigerator, two tables, a cutting board (that flips away from the sink to make the second small table). Brand new tires have less than 100 miles on them... New brakes, carb cleaned, you could drive it home if you didn't mind putting the miles on it. Brand new roof rack. Full paint (original color), including interior, engine compartment, inside fuel door and white top (not original paint scheme) with matching bumpers. Wheels were sandblasted and powder coated to match top and bumpers. Baby moon wheel covers are brand new. Spare tire cover is brand new. All seatbelts are original and the work perfectly. Carpet kit is brand new. Not shown in the photos, all new door seals and engine compartment seal as well as new curtains are included with purchase. This one is a real head turner. It's my 4th bus restoration and is by far the most original and complete. Bus can be inspected with an appointment in West Tennessee. Shipping or driving to your destination (lower 48) can be arranged through my VW mechanic at buyers expense. I've had several questions regarding the condition of the engine and transmission. I am completely confident that you will find the drive train with plenty of life left in it. So confident, that I'll give you a 30 day guarantee on the engine and transmission... anything wrong with the engine or transmission, I'll fix. The stipulation is, we must use my mechanic. If there's a problem, you can get the bus to him or get him to your bus. Either way works for me, but I'll cover any necessary parts and labor. I'm very serious about maintaining my 100% positive rating and want you to be completely happy with anything you buy from me. Also included, the child's cot the mounts over the front seats and a complete new curtain kit.
