This is a NO RESERVE auction, ONE bid will win this car! I am very regretfully selling my 1976 Mini convertible with an aftermarket Cooper S package from Mini Mania. For those concerned with the fact that Mini stopped making the S models in 1973, I am reiterating for you that the person who owned this car before me purchased the parts from Mini Mania that differentiated a Classic Mini S from a standard Cooper, and added them to this car. It was done because it helps with horsepower, and I realize your concern. I am not trying to claim that this is an original Cooper S. Disc brakes were added at this time as well. This car is an English Mini, and checks out with an HPI Check from UK. I have the original tags and registration for the car. It is a Morris Mini 1000. Original Paint. UK Registration tag is MPP 843P. 1100 CC engine. It is in great condition and has recently been gone over by Darryl at Charleston Import Automotive where I always have it serviced. We also replaced some parts and since then it has been driving great. I have all receipts from the recent work totaling $3k. 69,000 miles on the odometer, and when Darryl opened the engine, he said that the miles match the wear. Stage 1 Kit was a part of the "S" conversion, including K&N air filter, Carb, and custom exhaust. I baby this car, and it shows. It is a 4 speed RHD. It has a full roll bar. Brakes recently serviced, New 13" Falken Tires, No leaks, New head gasket, If there is any rust, it is invisible to my eyes with the exception of one spot the size of a quarter on the lower drivers side A panel. Only visible within 4 ft, and an easy fix. A paint job would do the trick, and put this car in showroom condition, but I like the character of the wear on original paint. I get all sorts of smiles, waves, and looks when I drive this car, everyone chats me up when I'm pumping gas or at a red light. I literally feel like I'm driving a Lamborghini that's how much people look at this car, I'm a private person and it has opened me up to talking with strangers, which is cool. I am selling it because I have recently moved and can no longer house the car in a garage. This would be a terrible thing to do with such a beautifully kept car. I also have a longer commute to work, and it doesn't get driven as much, which is also a shame! I also have the car listed on Craigslist and in the local paper, so it might not last the length of this auction. Happy Bidding!
