Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1930 Ford Model A and trailer.I am not sure what model it is, may be either the deluxe or business coupe. I don't know much about the car but I am an airplane mechanic and I traded a motorcycle for the car. Not much was wrong with it, someone had put a starter and a horn button on the dash that looked terrible, so I removed them and returned both to original location. I have reworked the radiator hoses, exhaust manifold, starter, horn, battery, and battery feed cables. Has old but serviceable tires(see pictures) It is all steel which is hard to find these days, and it looks like it had a paint job not too long ago. Has been kept in the hanger ever since I bought it. Like I said I don't know much about the car but I was told what to look for and it looks to me that it is completely original. It runs great we drive it regularly around the airport. There was one owner of the car up until mid 2000, and I traded the motorcylce with the gentleman who was the second owner. The trailer it comes with we bought with a tractor and have no use for it anymore. Thought it might be handy to transport the car. It has been used regularly, road worthy but is out of inspection. It has a 2" ball and comes with the loading ramps. I encourage anyone to come look at and drive the car that would like to. A little info about the car: The engine was a water-cooled L-head 4-cylinderwith a displacement of 201 cu in (3.3 l). This engine provided 40 horsepower (30 kW). Typical fuel consumption was between 25 and 30 mpg (U.S.) (8 to 12 kilometres per litre or 8-9 L/100 km)[citation needed] using a Zenith one-barrel up-draft[citation needed] carburetor, with a top speed of around 65 mph (104 km/h). It had a 103.5 in (2,630 mm) wheelbase with a final drive ratio of 3.77:1. The transmission was a 3-speed sliding gear manual unit with a 1-speed reverse. The Model A had 4-wheel mechanical drum brakes. The 1930 and 1931 editions came with stainless steel radiator cowling and headlamp housings. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of winning the auction. I will accept Paypal, cashiers check (after it clears), personal check (after it clears), or Cash.
