*** This is a mechanic special and requires repair before becoming road worthy *** 2000 Subaru Outback wagon. 147,760 miles. Automatic transmission. The car suffered some type of drive train failure and makes a banging noise up front when the car moves. No leaking fluids anywhere. I do not have the time or the equipment to make this repair. This car is NYS inspected until April 2012. I replaced the serpentine belt replacement prior to the last inspection. All systems work flawlessly. I am the third owner of this car. The second owner owner had the car from 14,000 miles to 136,000 miles and took meticulous care of the car. I examined his complete file of service records for the car prior to my purchase and he had all regular service done. Timing belt/chain and water pump replaced prior to my purchase. Cosmetically, the car has some typical careless, soccer mom type dents and dings from parking barriers, shopping carts, and whatever else she could back into. Interior is in good condition. AC works great. AM/FM/CD/Cassette. Tires about 50%. No smoking and no pets. Additional photos upon request. The car runs and yard drives and it will drive up onto a flatbed or trailer. The "doughnut" exhaust gasket was damaged by the flatbed when moving the car. I have the replacement part and it will be included in the sale. I would not attempt to drive it anywhere. I encourage anyone who is interested in buying this car to look at in person. If you are not a mechanic I strongly encourage you to bring a mechanic to look at it. This is a great buy for somebody who can make this repair. I hate to see this car depart but I need to replace it ASAP. Clear title in hand. $500.00 deposit by Paypal with 48 hours of the end of the auction. Balance upon pickup.
