Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe. The car has the original inline 6 cylinder 216 cubic inch engine. The engine has been rebuilt, idles very smooth, and runs perfect. The original 6 volt charging system is still in the car. I will keep a battery minder on the battery during the off season and have no problems starting the car up. It is equipped with the original 3 speed column shift transmission, which works flawlessly. The original AM radio is in place, and works. The car has the factory clock, which works, factory sun visor, chrome window vent visors, and factory fender skits (I have these, but they are not on currently on the car, but are in perfect condition). Currently I have a set of Boyd Coddington aluminum wheels on the car, but I also have the original steel wheels with wide white wall tires. These are in excellent shape as well, I just put the aluminum wheels on for a more modern look. Mechanically the car is excellent. I drove it to the 2011 Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, KY and had no issues whatsoever. The engine had a complete rebuild during restoration, and has less than 1000 miles on it since that point. It has been garage kept its entire life. The interior was restored as original, with new carpets, headliner, seats, etc. It has the original shop manual, brochure, jack, and spare tire. All glass is good, with no breaks or chips. The chrome is original and in very good condition, with only one minor imperfection (small ding), and NO RUST. The body is in great condition, has ZERO RUST, with all original body panels. The paint is shiny, with only minor blemishes. There are two small holes, on the driver and passenger side doors which I have filled and touched up, but are still visible. These are a result of the incorrect mirrors being mounted on the doors. I have the mirrors that were in place that fill the holes, but chose to put the correct original mirror in place, but haven't gotten around to filling and respraying the doors, please see the photos. I would not consider the paint to be pristine show condition, but it is very good, and a great example of an unaltered original vehicle, right down to the original oil bath air cleaner. If you are looking for a car to bring back to perfect original condition, this is a great starting point, and will only need minimal effort to do so. Or if you are looking for a solid vehicle to turn into a custom street rod, look no further. Lastly, if you are seeking a great looking, and great running car that needs nothing to go to your local car cruises, or sunday afternoon drives, this is your car. Please do not hesitate to send me a message with any questions you may have. If there are serious questions, I am more than willing to speak on the phone to answer them, please message me first. I am located in Southern Indiana, 15 miles outside Louisville, KY. Buyer is responsible for transportation of the vehicle. On Nov-28-11 at 05:38:55 PST, seller added the following information: Edit: I took the car out this weekend to make sure everything was working properly. The car ran great. I did notice one small issue which I felt I should post. After pulling back in the garage, I noticed a small amount of moisture or seepage from the top of the radiator. The car never got hot or overheat. I can not say how much of an issue this may be, but I would guess there may need to be a small patch or repair to the radiator. It is the original radiator. Again, this was only a small amount of seepage, nothing was leaking onto the floor or causing overheating. If you have further questions, please contact me.
