BMW 1966 R69S with Velorex Sidecar, matching frame and engine serial numbers Researching the VIN showed that it was manufactured on August 26th, 1966 and delivered to Butler and Smith in NY on September 5th, 1966 equipped with a bench seat. Akront Alloy shouldered rims with Stainless Steel spokes, Stainless Steel Mufflers Starts easily, runs well. Clutch, transmission, brakes, suspension all work well, this bike is ready to ride Good battery, charging system works, all electrics work Tool compartment door works, has lock and key. Velorex 562 Sidecar mounted with proper hardware and is easily detached to use bike solo Sidecar has tonneau cover, luggage rack, red/black upholstery, storage behind seat Speedo reads kilometers, had that when I bought it, shows 19,206 KM, I don't know the exact mileage. When I bought this bike about 15 years ago, I cleaned it up, built the wheels, replaced the exhaust, and had a high-quality paint job done. Then the sidecar was installed with the correct mounting hardware. I used it occassionaly for a couple of years (about 500KM) then put it away, stored in a dry place sealed in a plastic bag with dessicant until this summer.
