Vehicle Detail
This 1967 Pontiac Catalina is in good conditon, considering it is basically rust free. It has many good points for either restoring, daily driving, and/or parts, though this car is not being sold as a parts car as it runs super good on that 400 v8, 290/340 factory rated horsepower motor. Most everything works and has the electric trunk opener system which of course, has a trunk light. The trunk is really nice and has the original spatter paint. All the chrome is intact except a 1 piece that runs along the drivers rear quarter panel, but I have that piece which has a slight curve and will need straightening. Most all the glass is good and all the windows roll up/down. The car has the original hub caps and stainless wheel opening metal. The front total clip including fenders, hood, inner fenders, core support, grill, bumper, hood, etc are in near perfect condition. The doors are in perfect condition. The rear bumper and rear section is also in good condition. Neither bumper needs rechroming and the sparkle real bright when polished. There are not any rust issues, as this car spent most of it life in western Washington state. No major damage. The motor runs really strong, with no smoking, knocking, leaking liquids or other issues. Most of the electrical works, but the radio (AM) does not. The interior need new seat covers, dash cover, and a new head liner, but the door panels are good . The doors, hood, and trunk lid shut like a refrigerator. Yes it needs a few things, but sure catches the eyes from people that have not seen one of these in years. It drives real good, but will need to replace maybe a couple of ball joints. It can be a low rider, or a daily driver without a lot of fanfare or custom job. I suppose the coolest thing about the car is all of the restoration parts that can be interchanged on not only the B-body cars, but the Firebired, Lemans/GTO, and Grand prix. The electric wiring, motor, etc are all interchangeable and very costly if you are piece mealing together a project. It has a clear title and will be sold as is, where is. I have set a reasonably low reserve, based on the value of the parts. I would of course like to see the car restored, but I have to much inventory to insure. THIS IS A 5 DAY AUCTION.. Questions answered in the order they are received. $500.00 due within 72 hours of the winning bid, and the balance within 7 days of the winning bid. Details to be worked out between seller and the winning bidder. Please do not bid if you do not intend on following through with purchasing the vehicle, as it could knock out the the second best bidder. Good luck bidders
