For sale is this 1995 Nissan Maxima with 159,500 miles on the 3.0 Liter V6 engine and automatic transmission. This vehicle is in very good mechanical condition and would make a great first car for a new driver, or as a beater car to get you through the winters. The vehicle is equipped with many options including power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power driver’s seat, cruise control, tilt steering, sunroof and fog lamps. Engine and Drivetrain The engine runs great in this Maxima and still has plenty of life left in it. The transmission shifts and sounds perfect. The front brakes measure 9/32 and the rear brakes are also 9/32. There is 8/32 on all four of the mastercraft tires. Some of the more recent maintenance; 10/19/11 (159,141) - new rear struts, PA state inspection (good until 10/12). 6/2/10 (156,193 miles) - new alternator, tensioner and negative battery terminal end. 6/19/08 (153,703 miles) - new ignition coils, plugs, complete exhaust system from manifold back (including catalytic converters), blower motor resistor and new front/rear brakes. The front strut top bushings are worn causing some noise over bumps. This is not a safety concern. Body and Electrical The body of the car is in great shape. There are dings here and there which is to be expected on a 16 year old car. The paint is a different story. The paint on this vehicle has no shine left to it. I spent about an hour on just the hood, and was able to get it looking pretty good after using a buffing wheel at 2400 rpms on the whole thing. I simply don’t have the time or patience to detail the rest of the car. The paint on the front bumper is peeling off (see pics). You can also see where it is peeling off on the rear spoiler and trunk. The interior is in very good condition. The dash and other panels show minimal signs of wear. The carpet and seats are also in good condition. All electrical components are working. Wipers, gauges, defrosters (front and rear), heat blows hot, AC blows ice cold, lights, windows (a bit slower when it’s really cold out), locks and cruise all work perfectly. The radio works, however the display does not. You can still tune in and listen to stations, but you just can’t see what station you’re on. The rear antenna motor is working, but the antenna mast is broken. I will be including a radio harness and install kit with the vehicle so the person that buys it can just purchase a new radio and will have everything needed to complete the installation. For an additional $100 on top of the final selling price, I can include a brand new Pioneer radio that has an iPod hook up.
