Vehicle Detail

1968 Plymouth GTX Sox & Martin tribute car. This is a real GTX. It wound up in our hands after being stored for many years and is currently not running and partially disassembled, but all parts are there. Here is what I know about the car: It has a real RS23L8 VIN and clear title. It has a roll cage, plexiglass windows, and fiberglass front clip, as well as fiberglass bumpers and decklid. It has an iron-headed 440 in chassis with motor plates (a.k.a. elephant ears), but a complete stock k-frame is included with the car. It has a trans with brake, brand new converter in the trunk, billet water pump housing and electric pump, MSD box mounted inside as well as full instrumentation. All the wiring is in. It has an aluminum radiator and trans cooler, and ceramic coated headers. It has 4-wheel wilwood disc brakes, and a Dana 60 rear. It has a fuel cell with electric pumps, and provision for 2 trunk-mounted batteries. It has a racing bucket seat, a trans blanket, and russell racing harnesses. This car is not rusty at all, and the main trunk floor is still intact with mini tubs. I have never heard this car run, but every piece is there. The front fiberglass bumper has some damage on the corner since before we got it, and some of the lettering is peeling. The car was used as collateral in another deal, and we wound up with it. The title is clear. The story goes that the motor was fresh from dyno and installed to mock up the motor plates. The motor and trans are in the car complete with the driveshaft, but we have never installed everything else and fired it up. It is what it is, no secrets. You now know what I know. Please don't contact me to tell me what the car isn't. The price we are trying to get is cheaper than what it would cost to buy the parts seperately and do all this to a real GTX. I can assist with delivery anywhere in the southeast US, or arrange shipping, but buyer pays ALL shipping costs either way. I own a full service body and restoration shop specializing in Mopars, and we can build or restore this car to your personal specs, or just get it running if you purchase it. Contact me with any questions. 772 341 5396.
