Vehicle Detail
One of the nicest-looking bikes Honda ever produced, the Super 90 is a real classic from the “You Meet The Nicest People” era. Garage kept original California bike, exceptionally clean, rust-free, all original or NOS Genuine Honda replacement parts. 90cc, manual four-speed transmission, 6919 miles. Engine starts with one or two kicks, idles perfectly, shifts well and doesn’t smoke. I’ve cleaned it up a bit but tried to keep the bike as original as possible since it seems that most serious collectors prefer an original with a patina of honest wear to a bike with a glossy, powder-coated makeover. I removed the engine and disassembled most of the frame components, then cleaned/waxed and lubed all parts before reassembly. There are a lot of new OEM Honda parts, most were acquired from established Honda collectors or vintage Honda specialists like Ohio Cycle--there are no cheap reproduction parts on this bike. NOS parts include the muffler and joint packing, kick start lever (the revised OEM version that won't scratch the muffler), points and condenser, front and rear brakes, front and rear fenders, front and rear tires and tubes, chain and both sprockets, fork boots, seat cover, handgrips and levers, footpeg rubbers, battery, headlight and taillight bulbs, speedometer/high beam/neutral light bulbs, air filter and air box covers and all control cables (all are the original gray color). The Honda S90 Wing tank badges are the originals and are in great condition. The tank is dent and rust free and looks almost new inside. I disassembled and cleaned the spokes and hubs. The hubs' original clear coat had yellowed and was peeling, so I buffed them to a dull satin finish that matches the original factory look. Overall, the bike has some small scratches and minor imperfections in the paint and tank panel chrome (no dents). A small amount of paint is missing below the battery box where the battery vent tube had fallen off allowing acid to leak onto the paint. On the small rocker arm cover (not the cylinder) there is a small 1/2 inch section of one cooling fin missing next to one of the nuts. It's almost too small to notice and I have a replacement cover I’ll include. All lights and indicator bulbs are working as well as the horn (not very loud) and I have one original key. The vintage license plate in the photos has dropped off the CA DMV records but I have a current California title, plate and up-to-date CA non-operational registration which can be activated with the CA DMV for a small fee. (I’ll include the original vintage California license plate and registration paper.) Please ask questions before bidding. I have high-resolution photos I can send if you need to see any area in more detail. Lower 48 USA bidders only. Shipping arrangements and all shipping costs, if needed, are the responsibility of the buyer. (I've had good luck shipping with Forward Air for several bikes I've sold.) I'll be happy to deliver the bike to any shipping company in the Los Angeles area free of charge. If you are near Los Angeles (Pasadena area) and want to take a look at the bike in person just email me and we can arrange to meet. Thanks for looking.
