Great opportunity to buy a 2000 Jetta GLS with an automatic transmission from a non-smoker that will last for years to come with a few fixes. I am the second owner of the car, and have owned it for the last 9 years. It's been very reliable, great gas mileage (19 city, 26 highway), and even impressive in the winter weather conditions. The car has only 97,581 miles, and as you can see by checking the mileage count on other 2000 Jetta's listed on eBay, this car has the potential to drive for many many more miles! I have clear transferrable title to the car ready to go go. It has a 6-disc Pioneer disc changer already installed, as well as a AM/FM radio and cassette player. I kept the interior VERY clean, and also just had it steam cleaned as well, so it looks almost brand new! The air conditioning was replaced within the last 5 years, and works great. Power windows and locks. Anti-theft device. The car comes with one key, which has the keyless entry system attached with the key. There is some minor body damage to the car, which I tried to accurately show in the photos. There are surface scratches on the passenger-side back door, and over the wheel well. These should be able to be buffed out. There is also nicks on the rear and front bumper from parking it on the street for a few years. There is minor streakage on the driver-side window from where the window fell into the well after clips which hold the window up broke (and were just replaced this past winter). Lastly, there is also damage above the driver-side rear wheel well. Here are the details on what needs attention on this car:- The windshield wipers are currently inoperable. A quote I got from Pep Boys estimated $519.26 for the motor switch and motor to be replaced. I also got a quote from my VW dealership, who diagnosed the problem as the wiper transmission linkage, and estimated the repair to be $419.00.- The back light on the climate control does not work.- Half of the glove box stop is broken. It still works (and closes) fine.- The center arm rest provides storage, but the latch to keep it closed when you lift it up is broken. It works okay, so long as you don't lift the arm rest up.- The car has a slight rattle when decelerating on the highway. The repair is $30 to replace heat shield clips.- The timing belt needs to be replaced. The estimate I got was $968.00.- The left inner and outer tie rod needs servicing.- The car needs an alignment, which is approximately $130.00.- A new valve cover gasket and breather tube is needed.- The rear two tires should be replaced relatively soon.
