Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport project. The car was in lengthy storage prior to our purchase. Prior owner was going to do a full restoration. Was last on the road in 1993. When we purchased it, it came without a motor, transmission and front sheet metal. We had a 1973 Chevelle that we parted out and saved the 350, 4 BBL motor and transmission from it. It only has 58,000 miles on it that ran good when pulled. It has just been sitting in the corner of the garage so we cleaned it up a bit and installed it in the Camaro. It is not wired up to run. Just bolted the running gear in place for transportation. The Camaro has Power Steering, Front Disc Brakes, 10 Bolt Positraction rear end (dont know gear ratio). The car is a factory A/C car. The car rolls and steers fine to load. The interior is all original. Factory bucket seats, console, horseshoe shifter, 150 mph speedometer and drivers side remote mirror. The interior is the deluxe option in cloth. Door panels are in decent shape. There is no carpet for the floor. The front windshield is cracked and will need replacement. The only exhaust on the car is the 2 tail pipes. The body on the car is quite solid. Looks to have its original quarters, floor pans, braces, inner and outer rockers, doors etc. There is a rusted area on the drivers side lower quarter just pass the door. Also there are a few small patches in the trunk pan but looks like they just covered over some perforation. Rear frame rails look fine but I did see what looks like a weld line on the drivers side one so I took pics for you to see. Over all it looks like the underside will clean up fairly easily. We do have some parts that belong to the car and they will be included. Items are drive shaft, hood springs and hinges, all seat belts, plastic quarter vents, hooker super comp headers, half split bumpers for front of the car, parking lights for front nose assembly, fender braces, front side marker lights, rocker sill plates, both door edge guards and the A/C hoses. This would make a nice winter project. As you know these 1970-1973 Camaros are becoming ever more popular. You can buy this one right and build it to your liking. Sold on a Maine dealer bill of sale. If you need a title in your state I will register the car and with that and our dealer transfer forms you will get a title in your state. It will be $150 extra should you need this service.
