Purchased new in July 2003: 2003 Ford F450 with the 6.0 PowerStroke Diesel. Recently the truck stopped running so it was brought into a Ford truck dealership for diagnostic. Dealer Notes: "...pulled the oil plug and found a lot of metal shavings inside - suggesting broken pieces in the engine. The top of the engine was then pulled to find lifters and bearings broken on some pistons. Not positive it needs a new engine block but what is seen, it is highly likely." The dealership suggested a new/rebuilt engine for the truck but at this time, I'm not interested in keeping the truck so I'm selling the chassis only. IMPORTANT: the box/hoist will be removed prior to transfer of ownership...this is a sale for only the truck chassis. If you are the winning bidder and are interested in keeping the box/hoist, let me know...I'm sure we can come to an agreement on additional cost.
