Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for viewing this auction. For sale is my 1984 Porsche 928S CLASSIC CAR!!. First, for those who know these vehicles, you then understand both the beauty, absolute fun, and of course the difficulties of these awesome cars!! If you have never owned or understand the 928, then I would "HIGHLY" recommend you research on web forums before purchasing one so to understand what you are getting. Now!!....I have owned several 928's and love these cars, just simply wish to again move onto something different, therefore I do not need to sale. I bought this car nearly two years ago and personally did all the service, maintenance and customizing, so I know this car inside and out. It is a daily "recreational only" driver, as I take out at least once a day to keep her lubricated, but have been on many 5-7 hours trips, as the worse things for these beautiful cars is to let sit around. She has always been garaged under my ownership and never driven in the rain. The custom features I did generally include the interior, stereo, external motor components, electrical, wheels and exterior features. I have done so much to this car in terms of service, maintenance and upkeep, that it is too much to list, however, also please keep in mind that it is nearly 28 years old!!.... I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. I am a very "picky" person when it comes to my vehicles, so below lists a general overview of all the items I have done and know about the car. I have 100% positive feed back and have sold many of my personal vehicles here on eBay, therefore, I wish to be as honest as I can as you consider this purchase. EXTERIOR 1. Paint/Body is approximately 5 years old and looks very good, especially for "black", however, it does have minumal dings and some small paint imperfections, but still not easily seen. 2. I have professionally myself buffed the paint and treat after every wash 3. The wheels are 17" Factory Porsche Cayanne wrapped in Michellin rubber 225/50/17(approx 40% left). I custom painted the exterior portion only with base coat clear coat wheel enamel paint as well as Porsche wheel inserts 4. Custom emblems, trim acesories and front halogen lighting system. The lights are both fully functioning running and fog lights. INTERIOR 1. Fully custom interior carpet and door inserts seats and dash. 2. Fully custom stereo system, amp, sub and door speakers. 3. Custom accent aluminum trip and emblems. Even the Porsche Log's are aluminum, not cheap decals or plastic 4. Reconditoned factory components MOTOR/MAINTENANCE/PERFORMACE 1. Custom dual Cold Air Intake System 2. Upgraded "New" Radiator and electic fan coolling system 3. Oil Change/Filter/Plugs/and Most Fluids/Belts/ 4. Many, Many, Many, Many new replacement parts that simply wear out over time 5. She is a rough starter as most Porsche 928's are...but once warm, then all is great!!...I am learned over the years how to start with minimal issues, as most HOT RODDERS do, each classic car has its own temperments!! 6. One great feature!!...this is the last year that 928's had timing belt valve clearence, meaning if the belts breaks, motor damage is free and clear!!! 7. The AC does not blow cold air.....never really cared to have it....so never worried about repairing it. ELECTRICAL!!!!!!!! 1. NOW THIS IS WHERE THE 928 DRIVES MOST PEOPLE CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2. I have replaced, cleaned and corrected many electrical portions of this car, but as you will learn if you own one of this, this is the biggest issues with these cars. Due to the age and make and model, many parts are no longer available and you simply just have to learn and work around many of the electrical gremlins on these cars. 3. Some of those are the dash.....they no longer make the electrical circuit boards for these cars that control the gauges...NOW, whilw mine do work, which is kinda rare, sometimes the speedo does not register correctly or stops working all together...but mostly seems to be on cold days. 4. The fuse panel board I have cleaned until I am blue in the face, however, every now and again, you will have to wiggle a fuse/ relay to rengauge the connections.....again, you just have to know these cars as the electical is the biggest HEADACHE!!....but usually patience and a little mechanical knowledge will get you on your way. NOTE:!!!!This is a classic car therefore, I qualified for Hagerty Insurance which is a great insurance provider. Again, remember, it is a 28 year old car and as with any old car, anything can unexpectingly happen.....but thanklfully for me, nothing has during my ownership and as been an INCREDIBLE FUN CAR!!.. ALSO!!...I do have most if not all the original parts to go with the car, including the seats and wheels...Happy Bidding and Please ask any questions!!
