1961 VW Beetle Ragtop Sedan For Sale This Southern California based 61 Ragtop is one pretty car! It has recently emerged from the restoration process and is a well done and Classic ride. New paint and interior, all new trim and rubber, new tires and chrome...all as sweet as can be. The interior is beautiful in red with white piping that really jumps out against the black paintwork. The Banjo steering wheel adds some fun as well as the parcel tray. Oatmeal carpets are a fine choice as well. Seats are excellent and all freshly redone. Carpet in the rear luggage area is well fitted. Factory sunroof car...headliner is clean and new. The steering wheel anf flower vase add some class to be sure. Under the front hood is very clean as well. Matching spare and tool roll are both nice things to see. Looks straight up front...the original jack is in it's holder. Nice. The engine is the original numbers matching 40 horse that has been converted to 12 volt electrics. It is a very good runner, it has a new clutch and was all checked out and re-sealed during the restoration. New pushrod tubes, case was cleaned and all is dry. The car has "J" tubes instead of the heater boxes, but the original style muffler is in use. Floorpans are very solid....they were replaced during the restoration just to keep everything looking proper underneath. While there was some floor rust the rest of the body prior to the restoration was reportedly quite solid. Heater channels too...this is an original California car since new. I dont believe it was ever wrecked, but back in the 1980's it was stolen at one point. The insurance company covered it and it was recovered after the fact. As a result it does have a "salvaged" title here in California. Very solid. I like seeing the clean fender bolts and the smoothly undercoated fenderwells and pan It has a very nice "finished" look to it. The shocks and brakes and tie rods are all new. Love that interior combo!! Nice car! If you want a clean and classic Beetle to cruise and take to shows...this is a fine choice for very fair money!! Up for bids!g Dont Miss Your Chance!
