This Boxer is in presentable condition throughout. It is a very early 512 BB, and was originally a USA delivery car painted in silver. It was later purchased by a doctor in Italy who brought it back there and had it repainted in yellow (which is more attractive in my opinion.) There is no evidence of the prior silver color, nor is there any evidence of having ever been hit. The car was re-imported into the USA within the past year with the appropriate consumption entry form, meaning all proper taxes were paid. It comes with both the Italian and Texas title. It is EPA/DOT exempt but cannot be legally registered in California. The exhaust is original. The odometer reads 31,438 but it's in kilometers. It has an owners manual and spare tire. The compression is good- 1- 175, 2- 170, 3- 160, 4- 175, 5- 170, 6- 162.5, 7- 175, 8- 165, 9- 155, 10- 175, 11- 170, 12- 157.5 There is no known service history, so I suggest it's prudent to assume the car needs a major service (including belts) and also a clutch, since it's starting to slip a little. Also, one brake caliper is hanging up, probably from sitting. It has the usual Boxer dash shrinkage in one area- please see photo. While this is not a concours car, it is a solid example, and probably the cheapest carb Boxer available by far.
