For sale is a 1974 Jaguar XJ6L Series 2. The last year of production for the XJ6 Series 1 was 1973, when Jaguar started production of the XJ6 Series 2 in 1974 it was known as XJ6L, the "L" stands for "long" as the Series 2 cars were a little longer than the Series 1 providing more back seat leg room, and more trunk space. This is a 70,926 original mileage car which I have owned for the last two years with the intentions of restoring. This car does not currently run. I have previously had a battery in the car, the engine turns over and will fire with a little starting fluid but will not continue to run, has to be a timing or fuel related problem, I just don't have the time or money. It has the original six cylinder engine and an automatic transmission, and the car also has dual 12 gallon fuel tanks. I also have the original owners manual, a Chiltons repair manual for this car, and a conversion manual that covers swapping out the jaguar motor for a chevy motor which I will include if you purchase the car. The center caps for the wheels are in the center console. I also have another cover for the instrument panel shown in the picture just left of the speedometer that has all the light bulb covers in place, the one in the picture has a few missing. The car itself is in pretty good shape, the interior is very nice for a 37 year old vehicle. The seats have no rips or cracks, the door panels are all in great shape, the headliner is in great condition with no tears or sagging, the console is in great shape with no cracks, the dash has no cracks, the wood trim is in great shape with no cracks, all the guages look nice, all the knobs,buttons, and control levers are there, the factory AM/FM radio works.The exterior of the car is not too bad, the body is ding and dent free, all the glass is good with no cracks, the car has been repainted once and is starting to peel, there are a few rust spots about the size of dime. Once again, the car does not run, so it will have to be towed or trailered. I have 100% positive feedback, so you can trust the information about the car is accurate. Thanks for looking.
