Up for sale is my 1992 Dodge Ram D250 pickup with the legendary Cummins turbo diesel. I bought this truck from a salvage yard near my shop with a clear title. It does start and run but only has first, second and reverse in the transmission. Motor runs really well and truck can be driven, but you can not go very fast as you only have 2 forward gears. I put a good set of tires on it and replaced the battery. This truck is rough but has obvious potential due to its motor. This truck will sell regardless of final price as a no reserve auction so bid to win. The truck is for sale locally and I determine whether or not to sell it outside of ebay depending on the current bid so bid early and bid often. Exterior: The body on this truck will need a paint job, rust repair, tail light lenses, grill, etc. As shown in the photos its basically complete but has lived a work truck life. The rear window is home built. Headlights and taillights work. Interior: Interior is dirty. The HVAC does work as well as the passenger side window. Drivers side window neither moves nor makes a sound so I believe it's in the switch. I do not have keys for this truck and it has to be started with pliers in the ignition switch. I believe I have a spare ignition box and key around my shop. The speedometer does not work nor does the odometer. From what I can tell the other gauges do work. Drivetrain: Motor runs strong and has no odd noises. Minimal oil leakage. Occasionally the belt squeels. The alternator appears to be new as does the injection pump. The charging system works but has had some engineering applied and an external voltage regulator has been put inline and the wiring is not original. This truck is intercooled. Again the trucks transmission only has first, second, and reverse. 3rd gear and overdrive are not engaging. The Truck does accelerate quickly from a stop so I believe the torque converter is fine. Brakes do stop the truck but feel weak compared to other similar trucks of this age. This truck does need work to make it and eye catcher but for someone wanting to get into the diesel game cheaply and have a very reliable truck this one is it. Terms and Conditions – PLEASE READ!!! Collect from the customer the lesser of the two amounts. Sales to residents of any other state not listed in the chart are not subject to Ohio tax, provided the proper affidavit for nonresident sales is completed by the purchases and tendered to the Clerks of Court when application for title is made.
