Vehicle Detail
Hard times dictate hard decisions, and sadly this pet has to go. I looked long and hard to find a clean rust free truck- had to be a '91 2500 4x4- the holly grail in the Suburban world, as it is the last year of the straight front axle -yet has the newer HD OD tranny and 5.7 Tbi engine. And I found a gem. I have been consistently getting 19mpg!! Aside from all the original options like ps, pb, pw, pdl, tilt, cruise, overhead console, rear a/c, even the ultra rare power mirrors!! I have done a complete tune up including all filters, plugs, plug wires, dist cap/rotor, even complete new dual exhaust with SS headers(with factory O2 sensor) to help the truck breathe and improve fuel mileage. She runs like a top, and quiet as a church mouse. I have also upgraded the front hubs to the HD Warn lockouts (lifetime warranty). Then I purchased a pair of front leather heated power seats and installed them for greatly improved comfort and safety with the better modern headrest. While I was at it, I had a complete new headliner installed, as well as a new stereo with USB and aux input and rear sub woofer and amp- all professionally installed. While at the shop, I had them install remote locks and remote start as well. As far as the ride is concerned, I installed all new shocks(springs were fine), and a set of Hummer H2 wheels shod with new BFG tires- less than 1k miles!! I am sure I am missing some other upgrades, as I have spared no cost getting this truck as nice as a new one without the complication of modern electronics and computers. Quite simply a solid reliable driver ready for daily driver status or to explore the world. Please note the Tire Gate spare tire carrier is not part of the auction, nor is the aluminum Hannibal roof rack, but both can be purchased by the winner of the auction should they desire- they get first dibs in other words. As far as bidding is concerned, all bidders must have at least 5 transactions and a history of 100% feedback, otherwise contact me prior to bidding for preapproval, or your bid will be cancelled. Also, prebid inspection is welcome and encouraged as you are bidding to purchase, not look/see/test drive, as this is a 20 year old vehicle. Lastly, the truck is for sale locally and the auction can be ended at any time without notice. Thanks for looking, and best of luck bidding!! NOTE: The spare wheel has been painted to match the other four, and has a correct matching spare tire as well. Sorry for the discrepancy shown in the photos which were taken prior to the change. On Nov-07-11 at 04:59:43 PST, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE: I have been asked by several bidders if I have the original front seats. I do, and they are included with the auction. The condition is near perfect- as nice as the second row, with no burns, tears, etc. The pass seat does need a new bolt that acts as a hinge for the recline function, as the original is broken off. The third row seats are there, and shown in the photos. The truck seems to be a nonsmoker, as there are no foul odors at all. The headliner was replaced due to age and a bit of sagging- predominately over the driver's head... Thanks for looking and all the feedback thus far!! Cheers, and best of luck bidding!! On Nov-07-11 at 05:09:40 PST, seller added the following information: Another note: Sorry, but I also forgot to mention the transmission was rebuilt aprox 5k miles ago by the previous owner. Brakes were also done at the same time. And, I did actually drive the truck cross country this past summer without a hitch, and would so again on a moments notice.
