Vehicle Detail
Up for sale here is my ’99 TOYOTA 4Runner. I have been a Toyota tech for over 20 years and this is my wife’s car that we purchased new in June of 1999. The car is equipped with a TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Supercharger that brings horsepower output from 190 to 265, did we need it??? No it was just one of those things that when it was introduced I was able to buy one at cost and it did not void any warranties it has been on the car since it had approx 10K miles and performed flawless and does not affect the fuel mileage to much but does require the use of premium fuel. All original parts removed (upper and lower intake plenum) to accommodate this install are included. The car is also equipped with a Factory Toyota Navigation unit from a 2003 Camry complete with JBL amplifier and XM radio kit (subscription required). I spend the better part of a weekend installing this as the radio opening needed to be enlarged to fit the larger style head unit and did not want to radio appear non factory just have a look at the pictures even current co workers have asked me if this is stock. The sun visors have been upgraded to the 02 style with build in home link transmitter and extensions that slide out towards the rear view mirror. At the time of purchase the emblems were upgraded to factory black pearl which accents the white exterior color nicely. It also includes two set of mats factory carpet and factory all weather mats that are in great shape. It also has a LCD screen TV monitor on the roof liner with a VCR in the cargo area storage compartment. The TV has external RCA inputs for a video game or to play movies from your portable device. The car has never been in an accident never been smoked in and has always received all of its scheduled maintenance with oil changes done before the 3000 mile interval because 3 months have lapsed. Besides routine maintenance the following has been done; December ’07 at 74K miles replaced all four factory tires with Michelin Cross Terrain still 9-10/32” remaining also performed an alignment at this time. July ’08 at 79K miles replaced the starter (common concern starter will just click and start on the 2nd attempt but this is my wife’s car) January ’09 82K miles replaced the original front brake pads and rotors. Also in ’09 I replaced the driver side front seat covers (seat and backrest) with factory new leather covers due to cracking from entering and exiting the car this is very common, while the vehicle was still under warranty new ones were ordered and stored till needed at this time I also replaced the foam underneath resulting the seat looks and feels like new. Recently at 105K mile changed engine oil all drive line fluids, flushed the brake fluid and antifreeze. The water pump and timing belt where done at 90K miles along with the radiator as a preventative measure as I had seen too many come into the service department with antifreeze mixed in with the trans fluid due to the trans fluid cooler fittings in the radiator failing. I hope you get it 74K miles on tires 82K miles on the factory brakes this car has been babied all it ‘s life never been off road or abused in any way, fanatically maintained and good for many more years of service. It is time for something else my wife wants to have a change of scenery. The car got detailed 2-3 times a year and washed weekly, more frequent in the winter months therefore the condition of the body is excellent with 1 spot of concern on the lower part of the right A pillar a small rust spot appeared possibly due to a windshield installer nicking the paint and have gone unnoticed the windshield and surrounding molding are factory parts and were needed after a rock made a small chip right into the drivers field of vision. It is very small and an easy fix I just want to disclose everything good or bad so the potential buyer can make an informed decision and doesn’t have any surprises later on. Anybody local is encouraged to come by and inspect the vehicle and confirm that the statements herein are true and correct. Any questions please use the “ask the seller a question button” and I will respond as soon as I can. I am not interested in any trades and only certified funds or cash are accepted as payment, I have set a very reasonable reserve (which I will not disclose) and if the vehicle doesn’t sell it will be put in storage until September for my daughter to drive after receiving her drivers license which is what I prefer to do since I know this vehicle from day 1 and does not require anything but my wife would rather see her starting out driving in a regular car. Have your finances in order prior to placing a bid and not waste each others time, I will work with you and/or your shipping company to get the vehicle to you if you need it shipped all arrangements and cost are the buyers responsibility. I require a $500.00 non refundable deposit within 48 hours through pay pal or certified check send by overnight mail and the remaining balance at pick up or prior to shipping.
