1985 BMW K-Series

I bought this rare naked K100 10 years ago off eBay from a dealer in San Diego, I rode it back to Colorado no problem, it had 15,000 miles then. I believe I am the 2nd owner. I bought it with the intention of putting a sidecar on it but time and age has crept up on me. I've owned several other BMW's during this same time so have only put 3,000 miles on it in 10 years though it's never sat for more than several months without being ridden. It's completely stock and includes 4 BMW accessories: belly pan spoiler, rear rack, windshield, and foam grips. For those who don't know the history of the first generation K bikes, the K100 was ultra modern in it's day and was the bike that broke BMW m/c's out of their 60 year mold setting it on it's current day course. It is a reliable, extremely stable bike that had ground breaking technology in it's day, e.g. flat four engine laid on it's side. The things I've done to it are:- 1st gear return spring (inside gearbox) replaced by dealer about 9 years ago, the dealer should have lubed the driveshaft splines too.- replaced the rear brake reservoir myself.- changed oil and filter myself twice I believe, Castrol GTX 20W50- it has a new large capacity 25amp BMW battery The speedo cluster has the typical for this generation unreadable gear indicator and partial clock readout problem too; however, I have a used speedo cluster I intended to use for parts to fix these and will include it with the sale. In the picture showing the front part of the seat and rear portion of the tank you can see a spot on the seat that I used rubber cement on and also a tiny paint chip on the tank. I'll include a set of very good condition BMW Integral hard side and top cases for an additional $300. This is a low mileage first generation rare naked K100 in very good condition. You won't be disappointed.
