Up for sale is a 1958 International Travelall. This truck was bought new by the Maple Grove School here in Oregon. It was converted to a "School Bus" before it was delivered to the school. The conversion consisted of a drop down step at the passenger front door as well as an arm to open that door from the driver seat. The step was replaced back to its original position after the school was done with it. But you can still see the welds in the floor. We also have the original arm that was fastened to the dash and used to open the door. The front seat is not original to this rig and would have been a half seat or a 3/4 seat. So that the kids could enter the front door and pass by the side of the seat. This truck is very solid and runs and drives nice. It is a 6cyl and a 4 spd. The Maple Grove School is at a little higher elevation and it was necessary to have a 4x4 bus for the kids to get to school. In fact we spoke to the man that drove this bus from 1958 to 1982. He said that there were days that he had to chain all 4 tires just to get the kids to school. Some of the glass is cracked. The body is very solid for its age. It does have a couple of small spots of rust. I have tried to photograph them.
