this car is located in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico 87901. a couple of years ago, i rescued this vehicle from a local storage lot where it had been parked since 1981. following is a list of what i have done to the car to turn it into a dependable driver: installed a remanufactured cylinder head as the original was cracked replaced the timing chain and gears rebuilt the carburetor replaced water pump and all hoses 100% replacement of all brake parts, including flex hoses removed and cleaned the fuel tank replaced lower ball joints and rack & pinion boots had the radiator professionally cleaned transmission filter and fluid change air conditioning repaired and converted to 134a, blows cold, has a good heater also replaced cracked dash top with a good used one and covered it with a mat to keep it that way seats were mildewed, so i replaced the front bench with mercedes leather electric buckets and a jeep console. still have the rear seat. installed a new am/fm cd player the original autumn red paint was badly sun-faded, so the car is now in red oxide primer. everything works on this car. it does not use oil. the transmission shifts smoothly. there are no leaks. the engine, other than the new head, is the original 258 six which will happily cruise at highway speeds. i am the second owner of the car. the original owner was a retired amc dealer in colorado. i should menion that the windshield has a crack at the top, out of the line of sight. i can supply the name of a contact for a replacement. the rest of the glass is in good shape and is tinted. this little Pacer is a reliable driver as is, or will make a very easy restoration project. i have a very low and reasonable reserve on the car and it is for sale until the auction ends. shipping is buyer's responsibility. i expect a 500 dollar down payment within 24 hours of sale and balance paid before or at pick-up in truth or consequences. the car does not need to be trailered, it is ready to drive any distance.
