If you have been thinking of a 1963 1/2 Galaxie 500, this may be one you dont want to miss! Up for auction is a true survivor car that has been taken to the next level for sure! A factory 289 automatic 1963 1/2 Galaxie 500 fastback that has been converted to fuel injection and over 450 hp aluminum headed thunder down under, late model automatic with overdrive, factory FORD AC system(reliability), disc brakes up front, power leather late model seats, aluminum race fuel cell, extra capacity cooling, all this in a perfectly straight bodied black on red fastback that has never seen paint other than what FoMoCo installed! When I tell you this car is bad, what I mean is it will scream. Let me get to the details. The fuel injected engine is a dyno tuned 5.0 roller with 7 quart oil pan, BBK ceramic coated shortie headers, professional exhaust system, flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers, turndowns, 3 inch tubing. Heads are ported aluminum World Products 2.02-1.60 built by Newton Performance. Cam is a custom nitrous grind by Comp Cams. Intake is a Trick Flow street. C&L handles the mass air flow via a 73mm meter. Accufab handles fuel pressure. Ford Motorsport 30# injectors handles the squirt. Crane roller rockers top off the valvetrain. This is just a brief breakdown of this engine. A lot of work has went into this engine. Before the Galaxie recieved this, it served duty in my 3200lb 1993 coupe and ran 7.60's in the eighth on just motor! The transmission has a custom tubular trans mount, it is a 1990 AOD trans with stock stall converter. Shifter cable is factory Galaxie and works perfect and sharp. This a 50oz flywheel motor. Brakes are 77 LTD front disc, spindles, rotors, calipers. Master cylinder is 86 Crown Vic. Fuel injection is a Painless 5.0 attached to a 1993 Mustang Cobra processor. Oxygen sensors in exhaust. Fuel system is a custom fit large race style inlet and return, race pump, and 20 gallon Summit fuel cell. Interior seating is 1997 Nissan Maxima power leather, front and rear installed in rear with pull latch to remove lower seat.Rear back has pull down arm rest. Console is custom fit from same Maxima and works well. Alpine handles the tunes with Rockford Fosgate 12" subs, amp, and 6x9's in rear speaker deck.(Have front, but not installed.) Cooling is a Griffin radiator HP series, dual electric fan and aluminum shroud. Serpentine belt drive. Ford AC which is cold. 1993 mustang 5.0 based AC and heater box under dash. (No registers yet). 5.0 mustang radiator hoses. Body is beautiful. Floorboard has no rust. Only area is under trunk rubber seal, and right front lower fender. I built this car to drive and be fun and comfortable, and it is all that and more. Drives excellent. Suspension rides perfect. Drives in a straight line and cruises on the interstate at 80 very low rpm with the AOD. Seats couldnt be better, six way power, radio rocks, and fuel mileage suprisingly is mild. Maybe as well as 14-15 city driving. I have spent several years doing this car right, and it is not done.There are things to do that can be done any time and drive now. I drove this car all summer with perfect results. I can only tell you so much, if you come and look at this car, you will see the detail and time to make a reliable car and also easy to service when needed which is very important when building modern rods.
