Up for auction is my '69 Pontiac Bonneville, in the 2 door hard top body style. From my research it seems like there were less than 8000 two door hard tops produced in '69, the vast majority of production going to the sedan and convertibles. She has the 428 C.I.D engine, that either produces 360, or 390 horsepower. Those were the two options, and I am not really sure witch I have but either way it's good! Trans mission is the TH-400. Both the engine and transmission are original and function very well. I drove here from OK to Atlanta and later back again in April for a DLA school and there were no issues with overheating, sloppy shifting or anything. When I bought the car we were in upstate NH and I drove here home from there as well, without issue. In the last 10K she has received new plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, points, distributor, air filter, fuel filter, ignition coil, motor mounts, transmission mount, fan clutch,BF Goodrich Radial TA tires, wheel alignment, windshield, window tint to protect from OK sun, and new black vinyl top. She has chrome valve covers on, but I also have the original blue ones. She has dual exhaust with glass packs turned out fore of the rear tires. Looks and sounds cool, although a little loud. All the internals of the motor and trans are original, and tight. The previous owner added an aux trans cooler and also had here serviced regularly. She comes with a folder of paper work with receipts and registrations going years back, an auction flyer from the original owners estate sale listing the car and an original '69 Pontiac sales brochure showing the full line up for the model year. So, what do you need to know? As stated the mechanics are very well kept. The interior is all original and in very good to excellent condition. There are a couple of spots in the headliner and on the very back of the front arm rest that aren't perfect and there is a 1 1/2 inch crack in the arm rest of the drivers door panel. Other than that the interior has had an amazing 40+ years What stand between you and a show stopper is only paint and body. There is surface rust on the trunk lid and right around there, and there is rust along the mid line door ding bump strips. There are no holes there and she does not need rear quarters or door skins but I have talked to several places and they all simply said she needs to be taken down to metal, rust repaired and then painted, not a big deal just what needs to happen to fix it right and do a car like this justice. I also have the fender skirts, just liked her better myself with them off. They are in fine condition, no rot and have the rubber strip along the top intact. For a car that has spent time in AZ, PA, NH, and now OK what we have is not bad at all with a great interior and just a little rust to fix before paint. Please ask any question you may have, can't get too much info. The car is in my name with a clear OK title. She is safe in my garage, so if you as the buyer need a few extra days to arrange shipping that is ok so long as payment is forthcoming. I will work with you as far pick up either by transport or you drivin her into the sunset, but all shipping/delivery costs are the responsibility of the buyer. If there is something you want to see in particular please ask, custom photos are no problem. Mileage is 115,XXX original.
