Up for auction is this 1970 Mercedes 300SEL 6.3 with only 85,423 miles. This would make a EXCELLENT restoration project with a LOW RESERVE. It is very solid and is in overall good condition for this year. This car has had two previous owners before I aquired it. It was running and driving before being stored for many many years. It hasn't run in years, but it does turn over. The air suspension does needs work. Being in business as a collision repair shop specializing in Porsche, BMW and Mercedes since 1974, I feel this car has not had major collision repairs. The core support has been replaced. It does need to be painted. The body is in good condition, except for the damage to the left fender, right rear door dent and missing crome moulding. It has all the original crome, front and rear bumpers are in great condition. The grille is in GREAT condition.The rear side-body crome does have a few dents. Overall the crome just needs a little elbow grease. The interior is original. The door panels and the wood are in good condition except for the wood by the windshield, as the clear is lifting. It has the original factory radio and a sunroof. The underside is in good condition and has the original undercoating. There is a rust hole in the left rear corner of the trunk floor (see pic), which is common in these years. There is the original factory books with Mercedes-Benz plastic cover.
