DESCRIPTION:

This Audi was recently traded into our dealership with a bad transmission. The previous owner had this car and the engine recently blew. They had another repair shop install a used 4.2L, V8 (mileage unkown to us). The installers did not mate the transmission properly to the newly installed engine and it ruined the transmission. Now the car is ours. In the pics below you will see a shot of the trunk showing lots of parts including the transmission itself and some engine parts from the prior blown motor. The engine currently installed worked fine before the transmission went bad. However, we did try any other systems related to the engine like the A/C so we can't be sure of their correct operation.

Cosmetically, this car looks good inside and out. The interior needs a good detailing. The driver's seat has some leather cracking and dye wear mainly on the outside bolster. The black coating is wearing off some of the door handles, the power mirror adjustment knob is broken off, the driver's floormat is worn in spots, and the rear floor mats are not factory items. Other than those minor and easily repairable items, the interior is very nice.

Outside, the body is straight and rust free. The paint has multiple very tiny chips and scratches here and there, but most of them can be touched-up or buffed out. The roof top and top of the trunk lid have paint that is very dull and faded. The glass looks good all around, although the rear side glass and rear window glass have aftermarket tint on them. The alloy wheels look great on this car, although they do have some minor curb scrapes and the front wheels are missing their center caps. Overall, the exterior looks very good except for the top of the roof and the trunk. And even those areas may be able to be buffed up enough to look good. View the multiple pics below for more detail. The tires are almost new all around!

Mechanically, the engine does have some parts (mainly plastic covers) that are not connected, but the car was running before the transmission went bad. We cannot be sure every electrical item and/or mechanical component in this car is in 100% working order because the car can't be driven, so just be aware of that.
