DESCRIPTION:
Our 2002 Nissan Altima was a really nice driving car up until the previous owner ran it with almost no oil in the engine, which locked it up. The engine is not useable and must be replaced or completely rebuilt. With a new engine this car will once again be a great mode of transportation. According to the previous owner, everything worked properly prior to the engine failure so you don't have to worry about that. We can't test some systems like the air conditioning without the engine running so you will have to take the previous owner's word on it's proper function. All the mechanicals (except the engine) seem to be in proper working order. All the electronics seem to function properly, as well. Cosmetically, the interior is very nice and clean. The seats are firm and comfortable and adjust manually in many different ways. The carpet is clean as are the mats. The headliner is not falling down and the door panels all look great. The dash and center console look good and the audio system works great. The only interior issues are the two lids in the center console which don't stay closed, a missing cigarette lighter and some deterioration on the steering wheel's vinyl covering. One of the aformentioned lids covers a storage bin while the other covers the cupholders. Other than those items, the interior is very nice. Outside, the body is mostly straight except for a shallow dent and ding on the right rear door. The paint looks good from 10+ feet away, but any closer and you begin to notice some imperfections. I will do a visual walk-around description of the exterior now: The front bumper has dull paint and multiple tiny chips and scratches. The hood's paint is dull and has multiple tiny chips up front. The left fender has obviously been repainted years ago and shows some very light sandpaper lines. The left front door only has two tiny chips, but has some clearcoat peeling at the front on top. The left rear door has a few light scratches and some very tiny chips, as well as, a broken door handle. The left 1/4 panel has multiple light and tiny scratches and the gas lid is mis-aligned. The trunk lid is dull on top and has some very light scratches. The rear bumper has multiple cracks in the paint and one very large chip. The right 1/4 panel has a few small scratches. The right rear door has some damage from scraping against something. This door has a shallow scrape-type dent just above the side moulding, as well as, clear coat peeling at the top of the door, some dents in the black trim around the side glass and a scrape on the top edge of the door frame. The right front door has a few light scratches. The right front fender has some tiny scratches. The mirrors each have a white scraped line and the left side mirror's black plastic support base is cracked and loose. The hubcaps have paint chips and curb scrapes all around. The windshield has multiple very tiny chips, but will pass State Inspection. The rest of the glass looks great, but has aftermarket window tint on it.
