This Mustang started its life as a C code 1965 Fastback and was transformed into a Shelby GT 350 competition re-creation and has just been freshened up after a long nap in storage. Someone bought a property with buildings and contents. What a find as this car was in the contents! Believed to have been built and raced in SCCA SOLO I and II as well as other Autocross events, and a Mid America Shelby meet open track participant. This classic muscle car is all street legal and very driveable while having many Shelby style modifications such as fiberglass hood, R Model type equipment includes plexiglass rear window, radiator, front apron, dash cluster, roll bar, and oil cooler; as well as aluminum COBRA oil pan and valve covers. Other competition style items to note are the rear mounted battery, competition switch panel box, outside electrical shut off switch, 9 inch rearend, front and rear sway bars, export brace, Monte Carlo bar, Kelsey Hayes front disc brakes, rear drums, 4 speed top loader transmission with Hurst shifter, and American Racing aluminum wheels. Paint and body Modifications were done many years ago as flares were popular and necessary to be competitive in some racing classes of the day. Paint looks great and body panel fit could be better, but I am picky. Black interior is nicely done in this very rust free car. Actual milage is unknown.
