1969 Volkswagon Karmann Ghia Automatic Stickshift Up for sale is a 1969 Karmann Ghia with the Automatic Stickshift option. Structurally, the car is in excellent condition with no rust in the floors, rockers, heater channels or suspension components, one of the most solid ghias on the east coast. The engine has been totally rebuilt and has been chromed out. The stock 1500 single port has been replaced with a newly rebuilt from the ground up,very peppy 1600 dual port engine, and compliments the autostick very nicely. The heat exchangers are new, as are the brakes, rotors, master/wheel cylinders and brake lines. The car runs and drives beautifully and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Inside the car, almost everything has been replaced including the carpet, headliner, dash pad, dash face, upholstery; radio etc. all is in very nice condition. All of the glass is original with the exception of the front windshield. The car has a Panasonic CD player. Everything electrically works (except the clock, but was else is new) even the dome light. The tires have about 95% tread left. An aftermarket steering wheel has also been added. Have receipts for the thousands spent on the restoration so far. The car was repainted red and overall was not done very well, so I would recommend a repaint (Note: I have removed the pin stripping shown in the pics, since it was pooly done). The car was originally white from the factory. It does look good from 10’ away. There are some paint bubbles around the headlights, but not rusted through. The nose did have a crease, but has been repaired. The turn signal/ high beam arm needs to be replaced (broke today), the odometer also does not work. The bumpers are original and in very good condition for their age with only “minor” flaws. I have found another project that I want to focus, so I need to move the ghia.The ghia is also listed for sale locally, so the owner has the right to end the auction early. Obviously, this car is being sold AS IS with no warranty expressed or implied. This car is being offered with no reserve.
