Up for auction is this 1956 Ford Thunderbird 2 Top Roadster. It has the 312 V-8, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Standard Brakes, Manual Windows and Seat, Town and Country Radio, Engine Dressup Kit, Dual exhaust, Continental Kit and Skirts. It belongs to another dealer friend of mine who asked me to list it for him. He has a big collection of antique cars and is thinning down a bit. This is a car that he took in trade on a high dollar Chevelle SS a little over 3 years ago and all it does is sit in the stable with a few of the other cars so he figured he might as well sell it so someone can get some use out of it. The car is "Seafoam Green" with green and white interior, a white convertible top and white port hole hardtop. Car has 81,000 actual miles and is pretty much an original car. It has not been restored. I believe the hard top is still original paint and the car itself had one repaint many years ago. The paint on the hardtop shows a lot of crazing and the paint on the car looks good from 20 feet away but when you get close you see the aging of the paint. Good enough for a driver but would need redone for show quality. I did see a minor ding on the drivers side front fender right on the lip. Also there is a slight dent on the passenger rear quarter. The car is very solid. Doors open and close fine. Under side looks good and solid also (original floors, braces..etc) and good solid trunk. Just the typical surface rust on the underside that you would expect from over the years of driving. Good solid frame. The motor runs good, transmission shifts fine, brakes work fine. I tried the electricals. Headlights and tail lights work, tach, clock, heater..etc works. The turn signals didnt function (possible fuse). All glass is good with the exception of a small stone chip in the windshield left of the driver. Chrome is in driver quality condition. This appears to be a very original car with an above average body. Of course you would probably want to go over it to make sure everything is in order as it has been in storage for over 3 years. We have a clean New Hampshire title and proper dealer paperwork to insure a smooth transaction.
