2000 Volvo V70 XC- Something is wrong with the Volvo- the idle is off / misfiring. It runs and drives, just not well. currently has 141680 miles on it... it might go up a few for test drives before auction is over. THE CAR IS AS IS AND NEEDS REPAIR. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES. AUCTION IS BEING RELISTED WITHOUT RESERVE- SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN JUNK YARD WILL GIVE ME. THE DETAILS HAVE CHANGED AS WELL. In last two months (within roughly 500 miles), I replaced ($ not including labor): · Left Control Arm (OEM Volvo) ($150) · Right Control Arm ($150) · Sway Bar link (OEM Volvo) ($20) · Outer Tie Rod (Right) $50 · Inner tie Rod (Right) $50 In last two years (within roughly 20K miles), I replaced ($ not including labor): · All 4 tires with Michelin tires ($500) Michelin - Primacy™ MXV4® Tire Size: 205/65R15 94V · All Brake Rotors and Pads (OEM Volvo) ($300) · Radiator ($200) · Tail Gate Struts ($100) · Engine (with used LKQ 90K motor including turbo) ($1500) (old engine with turbo included in auction) The engine started to misfire. Symptoms are: Slow acceleration from stop- rough idle at low RPM. Higher RPM and “flooring it” seems to run better. The check engine light on. I have checked the oil, fearing it was overheated, which remains clean WITHOUT evidence of water. I don’t know what is wrong and don’t care to deal with it. This auction includes: · The Volvo “As Is” (title in hand) Other Issues- but in no way a guarantee there aren’t more issues: · Car has a small transmission leak where the filer is. If you slam on breaks, it leaks a little fluid. It needs a rubber seal installed around filer tube. If it gets low, transmission slips. Has not been slipping when at proper level. Hasn’t been an issue for me and was on my “to do” list. · Gas Filer door fell off- I have the door… not the bolts. · Shifter knob was pulled off as key ignition was quirky… I still have the knob but have chosen to drive without knob rather than repair.
