Amazing 2001 BMW X5 4,4i Mileage: 147.600 This amazing car has always served me well. It runs like new, smooth, strong, and without any noticeable oil consumption. Had the oil changed every 5.000 miles. As you know, V8 engines usually run at lower RPMs so experience less wear and tear. The transmission shifts smoothly and evenly, and the ride is soft, smooth, and stable with no rattles, noises, or other defects. This is my everyday car, drove it to work every day and on the weekends. Fun to drive, and very well maintained. This is what I have had done on the car recently (within the last two months): - Four new Hancook Tires- new wipers- replaced all rear brake rotors and brake pads- replaced all front brake rotors and brake pads- just two weeks ago, got a new windshield.- replaced engine water pump because there was some noise on the old water pump- replaced belts with changing the water pump- replaced both rear airspring struts of the self-leveling suspension as one was losing air- oilservice at 146300 miles just four weeks ago Having had several BMWs, I feel you might want to know that this car in particular has: - no pixel problems, neither in the instrument cluster nor in the A/C control unit- all lights work perfectly, both inside and out- perfectly straight run, no suspension issues- smooth engine and transmission- ice cold A/C- upgraded the original factory NAV to the OEM 16:9 BMW Nav- a fully functional CD changer- seat memories for both front seats- electric seat heating for all seats, front and back- absolutely no rust- accident free history and clean title- the wood interior trim is really well preserved and clean So what's the catch? As with any car this age, there is some signs of wear, but you will concur it's minimal !! The interior is one of the nicest andcleanest I have ever seen in any X5 of that year. The signs of wear that you need to be aware of are as follows - and this list is all there is: - a number of small and barely noticeable dings along the side doors - courtesy of the nice folks who hit your door when opening theirs in the parking lot :-(- the drivers side headlight suffers from some yellow discoloration on the headlight cover glass - I never got around to have it polished out - see pictures. It does not affect the light beam, though, so you're perfectly safe. - the rear wiper arm has a crack in it, not sure how long it will last, but I never felt the need to replace it yet. It is fully functional.- occasionally, the rear defroster button on the A/C control unit would come out, I always pushed it back in, it works just fine.
