This 1972 Pontiac Lemans has less than 124,000 actual miles. The exterior color is greenish gold, and the interior is called Dark Saddle. It is a daily driver and is reliable enough to drive great distances. Most everything works except the AM radio. The heater and defrosters work to keep you warm. The mechanical equipment works good. It has the 350 cubic inch V8 motor with a 2 bbl carburetor and backed by a t350 automatic 3 speed automatic transmission. The compression is good and runs very smooth. There are no knocks,smoking,clicking, or vibrations in the motor. The transmission shifts smoothly. The rear end is solid and has fairly new Ryder gas shocks. The water pump, power steering, starter, alternator, manual hydraulic drum brakes, radiator, and gauges work as originally intended. The steering is very positive and no play in the wheel. There are no fluid leaks of any kind. The tires are in good condition with plenty of thread The interior head liner, door panels, quarter panels, sail panels, sunvisors, threshold metal, dash and seat belts are all in good condition. The front and rear seats will need to be recovered and are available through Ames Performance parts. The carpet will need to be replaced. The body is straight with no major damage to the body or undercarriage. There are a few parking lot dings that are easy to repair as shown in the pictures. Body shop time estimate to repair those areas is two hours. All the glass, chrome, trim are all in good condition. Door and window seals are in good condition. The bumpers are straight and in good condition. The rocker panels are very nice. There is no rust issues on the body or in the undercarriage including passenger floorboards. This lemans is in better shape than most 40 year old cars that have not been restored. Ideal candidate for a GTO clone or rebody.
