up for auction is this LOADED 2004 dodge ram 3500 with the legendary 5.9 cummins turbo diesel. 2wd, automatic transmission, Runs and drives great, has leather interior, power windows, locks, cruise, infinity sound system, step/nerf bars, chrome bed rails, chrome door handles, chrome bug shield, fog lights, heavy duty receiver hitch, etc. A/C blows ICE COLD! truck has 265,000 miles on it, of course you know that's 90% highway miles. Body is in excellent shape overall. no rust, only minor scratches and dings and in my opinion far less damage than you would expect of a truck with 265k miles. The motor and trans are super solid, the truck runs perfect, trans shifts smooth. Has a gooseneck hitch in the bed and a nice spray in bedliner. The interior is in beautiful condition the only blemish is the typical wear on the driver's seat leather from getting in and out, and the center console pad where you rest your elbow.. dash is not cracked, carpet is super nice for the age, etc. seats are full power. There are only a few issues with this truck, and before i get into it, may i emphasize the truck can be driven anywhere just like it sits. it does just fine on the interstate. anyway here is the list of things that need attention: 1. tires-getting thin, need to be replaced in the next few thousand miles. 2. front end- feels like it needs shocks soon. still rides smooth, but when you hit bumps-for instance a intro to a bridge, you can feel the suspension travel in the steering. 3. the rear end- doesn't whine going down the road, but when you are traveling and you let off the gas to take an exit ramp it almost sounds like a jake brake-really weird. i did notice there was slack in the driveshaft/rear end so that is most likely the cause-vibration. may be something really simple or may need a rear end down the line. like i said truck can be driven just fine as is, i just am not one for surprises,i like to be up front. 4. ABS/brake lights stay on in dash- was told it is the speed sensor in the front right hub assembly. easy fix. That's it. truck runs and drives, would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. motor and trans are worth what im asking for the truck. You won't find a better newer body style dually for the money. KBB is still well over $13000 even with the miles in average shape. You can fly in and drive this truck home. Please ask with any questions.
