Vehicle Detail

For sale: my 1995 Saturn SC1 couple. It's been a great little daily driver for the last five years, but a 2-seater no longer meets my needs. (To make a long story short, I met someone. You can guess the rest.) The specs: single overhead cam 1.9 liter four-cylinder, five speed manual transmission, dual airbags, alloy wheels. This car gets a real-world average of 27 miles to the gallon in city driving and 38 on a long-distance highway trip. (Yes, I measured it.) Odometer currently shows ~172,000 miles. A compression check I performed at about 160,000 miles showed 190psi on all cylinders. Runs great! Includes factory owner's manual and Haynes repair manual. The interior was a ratty tan color when I bought it, so over the years I did some rehab work. I installed a vinyl floor to replace the old carpet, recovered the headliner, swapped in nicer seats from an SC2, replaced a lot of the brown interior components with black ones from the junkyard, and painted the ones I couldn't. I also removed the useless rear seat and moved the spare tire back there so I'd have more room in the trunk. Works a lot better as far as I'm concerned, but if you wanted to put in back the way it was it would cost you a trip to the junkyard, 30 bucks and an afternoon's labor. I also replaced the factory speakers with Pioneers, installed a new radio with MP3 capability (you can plug in your ipod or a flash drive with MP3s on it), and put in a custom digital gauge unit. If the car sells for more than $800 I'll leave them in, otherwise the radio and gauge unit are going into one of my other vehicles. Issues: there is a scuff in the front bumper. The official color is "Black Gold", so if you can find any 1991-1995 Saturn S-Series with the same paint code in the junkyard with an intact front bumper, it's an easy bolt-on swap. I just never got around to it. The windshield developed a crack one subzero February morning, and I haven't got around to replacing that either. That's pretty much it! This a great vehicle for someone with a long daily highway commute, or an economical, safe, fun first car for a teenager. NOTE: This car is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if an offline buyer meets my asking price. Please e-mail me with any questions. Good luck!
