1996 Chinook RV 21 ' Ford Diesel 18 mpg. This RV is a compact unit that anybody can drive. Engine runs strong and shifts smooth. New house batteries August 2011, LOF every 3,000 miles.Tire tread good. RV was used for taking long distance trips, not really as a camper. I bought it in 2008 and drove it back from Nevada to NJ. The truck runs very nice and goes up hills effortlessly. I have since taken trips in it to OBX, Nova Scotia, PEI, Florida, New Hamphire, New York State, and sporting events locally. I do not know too much about the inside operation. The microwave works, built in coffee machine works, and refrigerator runs on AC/DC and propane. There is a power strip on the roof for AC/Heat, both work. I don't think the VCR, or generator works.The generator has low hours on it. There is a dent in the rear tire cover, the side stairs do not work, and the blue decal is defective in areas as shown in the photo. I used the awning once at a race track in 2008. The carpet has normal wear and tear. Chinook's are well known for their quality workmanship and cost upwards of $ 68.000 new. The key to this vehicle is it's economical and reliable Ford 7.3 liter Diesel engine. I reserve the right to end the auction early and sell the vehicle locally.
