Up for auction is this great running 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport powered by the very desirable 4.0 6 cylinder with a 5 speed manual transmission. This jeep runs and drives excellent. The paint is in good shape with no fading and no dents. There are only a few bubbles on the jeep, mainly on the passenger side rocker under the chrome trim. 4WD works great, and the interior is in very nice shape, only a small tear on side of driver seat. This jeep runs like it has 80k on it. The tires are like new, wheels are factory. jeep is bone stock, not lifted. Never been abused or off road. You will not find a cheaper better running TJ on ebay this model year or newer. The top is in excellent shape and is only a couple years old. There are just a few minor issues about the jeep, i like to be up front and honest, no games here. 1. The throwout bearing is getting a little weak, you can hear it when you let it out in 1st; after that it's fine. Trans is perfectly fine and so is clutch itself. Down the road the $20 bearing will need to be replaced. 2. a/c was working fine 3 weeks ago, and now it's not. Here is the weird thing- when you would first crank the jeep, the a/c would be ice cold. Once the compressor would kick off to cycle the first time it would never kick back on, so i'm thinking it has to be a pressure switch or something minor. The compressor works fine. I let the rest of the freon out because i was going to refill it so you will need to recharge it. 3. Speedo itself just this week started acting up. sometimes I crank it and it works fine, other times it never moves. When the speedometer isn't going, the odometer doesn't turn. Obviously the mileage is correct at 179k, so you know i'm not hiding mileage and that the problem really did just start!!! lol. I probably have put 25 miles on it IF THAT without the speedo working. like i said i just like to be up front. All of these are minor issues and can be corrected very quickly. I would not hesitate to jump in this jeep and drive it to california. It gets good gas mileage and has plenty of power. I have not noticed any oil leaks or trans leaks in my driveway.
