I am re-listing after E-bay cancelled my ad because I specified "cash" as a payment option. Their policy is "cash in person" which of course is what I meant. This needs a real good home. Opening bid is set at a reasonable price and this auction is a NO RESERVE sale. So when it’s over the highest bid get it. You can reach me at (530) 533-2273 ( Please no calls after 8 pm). 1940 Chevrolet 1/2 ton chassis with a small dump bed welded to it. Bed was mfg. by Hercules steel products co. in Galion, Ohio. It has a manual pump and it works! Cab, front sheet metal and running gear are from a 1939 pickup. The dump bed, frame and running boards were sand blasted and primed. The body has surface rust and minor rust through in the lower door skins (see pictures). Truck is complete, only missing the headlight lenses (repos available). It has a 216 engine, 4 speed manual transmission and will need a complete restoration. Engine turns over but will not start, only pops and backfires. I have 1940 title in my name issued in 1987 (before non-op option). Vin on title is the '40 engine number which is long gone. Mileage exempt. All Sales are final! CASH in person is the preferred method. Checks must be Cashier’s or Bank certified check (Only Banks within 30 miles of Yankee Hill, CA. So please check for branches). Pickup & Shipping Pickup of Vehicle must be picked up within 14 days of Auctions end. I am willing to meet within 30 miles of Yankee Hill, CA to change hands or you can pick it up at my address (Maybe Easier). If you want to ship the vehicle please setup and pay in advance. I would like to stay as hands off as I can in shipping. Preferred Method is personal Pickup.
