Up for sale is this 1968 Triumph Bonneville restored to Concours/Museum quality. Numbers matching bike T120R DU80590. Complete restoration, period. Right down to every nut, bolt and washer. Full rebuild on the engine & case restoration to showroom condition. All bearings replaced with UK original OEM parts. .020” oversize Hepolite pistons. New bronze guides/valve job. Rod journals Std. and well within specs. Every single cad plated item has been replated (90%) to the correct finish (not zinc plating) or replaced (10%). Every other part on this bike has been restored to new + condition. Paint by Don Hutchinson. Stainless Steel fender restoration by Ross Thompson Metal Finishing in Canada to as new condition. Brand new CORRECTLY STAMPED (930 L9/930 L10) carburetors directly from Amal. Correct, original, replated (polished chrome) Dunlop rims By Sherm’s Plating Sacramento (all original stamped lettering still intact). Lucas electrics restored to perfection, right down to correct tumblers and twin ‘UNION’ keys as from factory for both ignition and fork lock. Current California registration. Less than 10 miles on restoration. Full photo restoration journal included in sale. I am a builder not a rider, professionally trained at the Triumph Factory and tutored by Bob Chantland (750 Big Bore kit fame) and WIW in Minnesota, retired, and in no way motivated to sell. I pulled and assembled these bikes out of the factory crates and did more warranty work than I care to remember, so I DO KNOW original details intimately. If you were to show this bike, I will guarantee that it will rate at least mid 90s in points at ANY concours event or I will correct at my expense.
