Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a nice, well maintained Jetta that was involved in an accident approximately a month ago which damaged the left front quarter panel, suspension and subframe, as well as the bumper cover and some related components. Rather than go through the expense of repairing the vehicle, I have elected to sell it and allow someone else to use it for parts or repair. THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT TOTALED, LISTED AS SALVAGED, OR OTHERWISE ADVERSELY TITLED; the accident, tow, repair, etc. were not paid for or processed through an insurance company, and the vehicle remains registered, titled and insured in NC. I have the clean title in hand, and will work with the purchaser based on whether they choose to repair or part out. THIS CAR WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT CANDIDATE FOR A VR6 CONVERSION, as the motor and automatic transmission are in fantastic condition, and many of the other parts could be sold off to pay for it (the leather interior is impeccable [see pictures], the A/C system contains new parts, etc.). The transmission has < 3,000 (three thousand) miles on a ~$3,000 rebuild (receipts can be made available), and the motor was always impeccably maintained. Between the transmission and A/C overhaul, more than $5k was put into this babied Jetta within the last 6 months. The car was struck from behind on the side, just above the left front wheel, and the damage to the car was restricted to this area and the bumper/bumper cover area of the car. As the pictures show, the rest of the body panels, hood, interior, glass, trunk, other wheels, etc., are all in excellent, undamaged condition. As indicated above (and should be evident from interior pictures), the car was well-maintained and taken care of, and the recent transmission overhaul was performed by a high-end repair shop in the Durham area (at a cost of ~$3k, for which I can provide documentation). The car was inspected less than two weeks before the accident, and was in perfect running order. My starting price is FAR BELOW the cost of the motor and transmission alone, and there are too many expensive parts that could be pulled off this car to list in their entirety; I put some of the big ticket items below. The vehicle is NOT DRIVEABLE (due to the suspension damage), and will need to be towed from its current location in Durham, NC. Winning bidder will be responsible for arranging for transportation of vehicle within five days of the close of the auction, unless other arrangements are made prior to bidding. No warranty is expressed or implied through this listing. Major parts: Recently rebuilt transmission (<3k miles on $3,000 rebuild) 2.8L VR6 motor (with just under 100,000 miles) Full leather interior with immaculate seats, dash, trim pieces, etc (see pictures).; the leather seats and dash alone cost more than $1k in good condition New AC Compressor ($669.09), Cooling Fan Control Module ($302.46), etc. installed 6 months ago (total cost of repair: $1,975) Hood, doors, trunk, right front and both rear quarter panels, mirrors, sunroof, etc. All electronic control modules 3 wheels Too many others to list Please feel free to contact me with any questions, although I am not a mechanic, and cannot speak specifically to what would be involved in repairing it or anything like that. I will be happy to work with you if you would like to view the vehicle. The vehicle is for sale locally and other forums, and I reserve the right to end this auction should it sell any other way. This is a NO RESERVE auction. $500 deposit through within 48 hours of close of auction, balance due via cash or certified bank check by or on the pick up date (within 5 days of close of auction). All bidders with less than 5 positive feedback must contact me before bidding or their bids will be cancelled, as will all bidders with any history of nonpayment. Nonpayment will result in negative feedback through eBay. Good luck!! ****In response to inquiries, I'm revising the listing to include a few pictures of the area that was struck. I'd already removed the quarter panel and bumper cover, so there's not too much to see. However, as you can tell, the driver's door and hood weren't affected at all, as I noted in listing. Good luck!**** ****In response to further inquiries, please note that I have lowered the Paypal deposit requirement to $500.00. Thank you!****
