Vehicle Detail
Hello, i am selling my 1989 k5 blazer 4x4 i built over the last year or so. Ive got an unbeilevable amount of my time and work into this truck. It is a completly rust free blazer. i bought last year when i lived down in mississippi. it was strait as a pin. i had it painted and a few small dings fixed. it has a very nice paint job with a couple coats of clear that make it realy pop. the interior was stripped and lined with bed liner. then the front half of cab i laid fatmat sound deadner and then new black carpet. the engine is a 4btaa 130hp cummins with the inline p7100 injection pump. i advanced the timing to 16.5*. removed the fuel plate and tuned the afc spring for the best power with no smoke. has a hx30 turbo and is ran through a 1997 dodge ram intercooler that i fenched into the stock radiator support. i custom made the motormounts out of 1/4" plate and am using stock 1st gen cummins dodge mounts. polished the valve covers and cleaned and painted the entire engine. The engine is tight and leak free and runs perfect.. i had allstate gear out of texas make me a new nv4500 trans that is a nv4500hd with a 32 spline gm output shaft so i could mate it to a gm pass. side drop np241 transfercase. Valley truck parts bulit me my new drivshafts front and rear with all new parts including new spicer ujoints. i bought a new valair organic 13" clutch set up with the new 13" flywheel.I also swapped in a set of 3/4 ton rearends with 3.73 gears out of a 91 suburban. 14bolt rear and 8 lug gm10bolt front. front and rear i put all new seals in them including inner axel seals in the front and outer axel seals on the rear. and new pinion seals front and rear. also front i put all new wheel bearings and new upper and lower balljoints. also had the front end aligned. overall the truck is very nice. i am currently using a small electric vaccum pump for the brake booster but it is not quite big enough if you use the brakes a lot. if i were keeping it i would get a better vaccum pump but this one works. the blazer has a/c and it is all intact but the 4bt does not have a compressor so it does not work right now, but would be very easy to put one on it and have a/c for those of you that are not in michigan and want a/c. the top has new rubber on it and the doors have all new weatherstripping as well. the thing is powerfull as heck like it is and aververages between 24 and 27 mpg depending on how im driving. it also has a 2" body lift for clarence reasons. has 33" tires on 16x10 weld wheels(the wheels could use polishing) I have an unbeleivable amount of money into this build and just as much time. this thing is very nice and there are not to many k5 blazers running around with a cummins 4cly in it and a 5 speed transmission. this truck will do 70 mph and more on the hwy all day long and get mid to upper 20's for mpg. even round town it gets around 24 to 26 mpg. I hate to see it go but i have other priorities right now. Thank you for looking. and any questions just ask. BTW to help some f you decide wether or not to bid the reserve is set at 9K
